Mondays Inspiration: Public School
Posted by Kenny Mac | Posted in Mondays Inspiration | Posted on 16-11-2009
People look long and hard for inspiration but sometimes its under your nose. Family, friends, co-workers, and other people that surround you are all good sources of inspiration. My good friends Max Osborne and Do-Yi Chow are friends of mine that are inspirational to me. They are both talented designers who got tired of what was in the market and decided to start their own men’s wear line called Public School. They based the brand on their experiences as kids growing up in the New York City public school system. It’s great to see friends take their destiny into their own hands. Have a great week

Mondays Inspiration: Obama gets a win for health care.
Posted by Kenny Mac | Posted in Mondays Inspiration | Posted on 09-11-2009
I spent the better half of Saturday screaming at the TV as I watched the House prepare to vote on the Health Care Bill. The more and more I pay attention to politics the more I realize what an evil crooked group of bastards the Republican leaders have become. Majority of what they were saying were tricks and lies not to protect the people of the United States however to keep the Insurance companies happy so they can keep them rich. The sad part is that they have their entire party believing their BS. It hurts me to see poor people bash Obama not realizing that he is doing more for them than their party ever did. I have no problem with conservatives, I enjoy a good political debate with people that are all for the betterment of our country. However all my conservative friends I urge you create a new party or go Independent because the Republican leadership has become so corrupt that they would sell you down the river for a buck. Any todays Inspiration shows that money can only slow down progress but so long. Listen to Obama discuss the importance of the Health Care Bill passing in the House… Senate here we come.

Mondays Inspiration: Brother Malcolm
Posted by Kenny Mac | Posted in Mondays Inspiration | Posted on 02-11-2009
Many who know me know I constantly use the term “Get Involved”. I use it to get people motivated to do something or make something happen. People like to talk about doing things but we actually have to get up and do something. I stumbled across this video of Malcolm X speaking to people in Harlem to register to vote. He asked them to “Get involved” and it showcased the intensity I use when I use the word. Its not about the specific issue its about the intensity of dealing with the issue. Next time you want get something done stop talking about it and “GET INVOLVED”!

Fridays Laugh: Getting a Head
Posted by Kenny Mac | Posted in Fridays Laugh | Posted on 30-10-2009
Here is another quick laugh on a good Friday. I was put on to this video this week. It’s a crazy short film by Diesel about Quique The Head. I have always loved working on projects with Diesel because of how bonkers they are and how much creative freedom their marketing team has. Check this out and happy Friday.

A couple of weeks I get a chance to go hang out with the Homies. We went to Hennessy Artistry featuring Common and Friends. We knew it would be a great show but we weren’t expecting the amount of talent that came on the stage. With in one big performance with no break Common brought on cameos from artist such as LudaCris, De La Soul, The Roots, Heavy D, Naz, Mos Def and Talib, Queen Latifa and Kanye check out some of the performances I was able to catch on my digital (FYI I think I need a Flip).

Years ago an NYU student and a promoter decided to get into the music business. A young kid from Queens sought them out and with his demo and out of an NYU dorm room history was made. Listen to the story from that kid from Queens.
With a dream and determination anything is possible.
