Coachella Madness

Posted by Kenny Mac | Posted in My Life & Times | Posted on 27-04-2009

So last week I went to Palm Springs to sponsor a series of events at the Riviera Hotel during Coachella. Here are a couple of pics from the weekend.

The People

The parties

So how man wristbands do you actually need

Of course the drive home wasn’t pleasant. Thank goodness I drove by this accident right after it happened. My friends were delayed for hours because of it. FYI it didn’t seem like anyone was hurt.

Birthday Yeezys

Sorry it’s been a while since I have posted. Working on a weekend full of events during Coachella took up a lot of time. Anyway I am off to Miami to celebrate my birthday so I will be posting from there. I wanted to send a special shout to the fam at Nike for blessing me with the Yeezys early for my bday right in time for MIA… Let’s see how crazy the lines will be to get these.

From the desk of Ari

The other day I stopped by the office of my man, Mitchell Kapler’s. We call Mitchell “Young Ari” because he’s an up and coming Hollywood agent. If you ever wanted to understand the stress of an agent, just look at homie’s desk.

Fairfax Franks

dope

The other day, as I was hanging with some friends on Fairfax, I became hungry as hell. Now there is an abundance of street wear boutiques on Fairfax, but food spots… not so much. That is until the last year. I was surprised to hear there was a new spot on the block. It’s called The Golden State.

No fancy lay out, just some quick good grub.

They had several good hot dogs and sausages on the menu. I was surprised to see they even had a couple for a non-red meat and non-pork selections for me. I decided to order the chicken and veggie sausage with sweet potato and garlic fries… and a ginger beer.

What?? I was hungry. Anyway, if you’re on Fairfax and want a quick bite… give Golden State a try.

The Golden State is located at 426 N. Fairfax Ave Los Angeles, CA 90036

What happened to the window

not_so_much

The other day I was walking through Beverly Hills and happened to look into the window of Neiman’s. I have always been a fan of the store, but I was confused when I saw the window. Hey guys, not only do you need to invest in some new mannequins, but who the hell is mechanising them? The theme was “Hip Event,” and I swear that anybody dressed like these mannequins is going to get shut down at the door of any “Hip Event.” It was the worst. Come on people, get you window game up!

A Day in the Life

Posted by Kenny Mac | Posted in My Life & Times | Posted on 06-04-2009

So I got an email from someone asking my to break down what a day in my life consisted of. So one day I took the digi cam with me to document the happenings in a day in my life.

First thing I do is hit the gym. If it’s one thing moving to Cali has done is gotten me to live a lot more healthy. I try to hit the gym at least 3 times and work out with my trainers.

After that I run a couple errands. One of which is going to the cleaners. It’s crazy how any type o mom and pop business out here is over run with peoples head shots.

Then I go back home and get ready for the day. First get dressed. Gotta make sure you wear something that wont be to hot in the day and no to cool at night. And fresh kicks is a must, peep the Yeezys in action.

So when you have to do as much driving and meetings as I do in the course of the day you need your traveling office. Mine i my book bag. Stuffed with everything I may need in the course of the day.

Also I make sure I pack my goodie bags for my meetings. When promoting a new product like IX it’s important to make sure the right people get it in their hands.

After getting packed up I jump in the car and head out.

Shout out to my girl Wendy the car woman. Any body out there in need of a car no matter where you are hit up Wendy. She gets you the best deals.

And here what takes up the majority of my day.. TRAFFIC!

If you drive in LA you most definitely need GPS

The one goo thing about driving in LA is the craziness you see.

My day is also filled with various meetings

When introducing bars and night clubs to IX there is a lot of staff trainings involved. So I’m doing that as well.

And a brother gotta eat. I love Mexican food

Once a week I see the homie Kelly to get a cut. So glad he moved from NY to LA a month before me and I didn’t have to search for a barber.

Then its off to the club to see watch people pop Belve

Then it’s back to the crib to recharge and start again.

So as some of you may have already heard or seen I sponsored/hosted a birthday party for the Legendary Damon. This event was Also hosted by Kelis (who made the most amazing Bday cake) Coltrane, Alan Blonde as well as the Collective. It took place at Teddy’s in the Hollywood Roosevelt. Lots of great people and the Belve IX was flowing. We might do this monthly. Check out the pics

Training

Posted by Kenny Mac | Posted in My Life & Times | Posted on 01-04-2009

The other day I had to go to San Diago for a meeting with The Ivy hotel. I took the train and the ride was pretty interesting and random so I figure I would share.

All Aboard!

Getting settled

So I couldn’t do train food but an angel mad me lunch

A long train ride is always a good time to catch up on some magazines
