What’s your favorite Michael Jackson memory?

Sorry it’s been so long but I have been totally crazed and haven’t had a chance for Breakfast with Kenny. However I was finally able to get two of my friends together for a Breakfast with Kenny. So meet Flo. He is a friend that I met this year through my boy Dan Barton. Flo is an amazing photographer from Germany. He has been out in LA from some time know and is well known through out the Supreme, UNDFTD crew. Flow is also on of the first bloggers on the Creative Contraband Network. 

Now meet my boy Ant Flores. I first met Ant years ago in NY as part of the film crew that followed Puffy every where documenting his life. Ant and his boys embody the essence of the NYC hustle. At their young age they were constantly in the mix and making things happen. Weather it was music videos, online video projects or DVD magazines Ant’s hustle is always on point. He recently hit me because he to is about to join the NY transplant movement in LA as he is moving out here next month. 

We meet up at Cafe Midi on La Brea inside American Rag.

Ant and Flo have never met each other. So imagine my surprise when, due to traffic, I arrive 10 minutes late to see the two of them chumming it up. After all the introductions were held Flo and I started giving Ant tips on LA living. For instance you really don’t need a realtor you just need to drive through the area you want to live and the signs are everywhere.

At this point the waitress came over to take our orders 

Ant had the scrambled eggs potatoes and chicken sausage

Flo had the omelet and potatoes

I did the French Toast and chicken sausage.

After the food arrived it was time to focus on the matter hand

I wanted these two creatives to meet because I had an idea of how they could work together. What if Flo partnered with Ant to direct some on line shows. Having a guerrilla camera guy/producer and edgy photographer work together could make some interesting content. So we discussed ideas. Flo was telling us that he has been approached to do books also and thought we could combine the projects.

Ant also brought up a great idea for a launch event for this program.

We then discussed the subject of project……. WOMEN! That’s all the info we are giving you gotta stay tuned for more info to come.

All in all another great Breakfast with Kenny. I hope it is inspiring you to go out and make things happen instead of complaining about what’s wrong with the economy.

Ok so couple of months ago I put up a post about the Wynn in Vegas. I wasn’t excited about it. Well it seems like the people at Wynn read my post and put the changes into their new hotel Encore. 

I was so happy that when I checked in, instead of being forced to walk through the casino the elevator for the rooms was next to the front desk and the door. Though still over the top (come on it’s Vegas) the hotel decor was cool. Black and red are the focal colors and the textures were crazy.

The rooms are a slight yet big improvement from the Wynn as well

The bathroom is pretty sexy was well

Here is something to get your mind right for tonight

So it’s crazy how this year it seems like a lot of my peoples are involved with girl groups. So to support them all I am dedicating this post. Check out these videos and tell me your thoughts.

1- As a lot of you may know the girls of Def Jam Recording group Electrik Red are like little sisters to me. They are also the last group signed by the homie Shak R.I.P. For all these reasons I want to see them when check out their video for “So Good Remix featuring Lil Wayne”

2- A good friend of mine from back home in D.C got into music when we were at Howard University. He wrote and produced this little song called “Crazy In Love”, for a little Texas girl by the name of Beyonce. This song ended up getting my friend 3 Grammys. He has also produced music for artist like Usher, Gwen Stefani, J-Lo and P. Diddy. My friends name is Rich Harrison the cat responsible for bringing D.C’s “Go-GO” sound into pop music. His label Rich Craft has put out an all girl group by the name… you guessed it “Rich Girl“. Here is their video for “He Ain’t Wit Me Now (Tho)”

3- If any of you have been to any of my Belvedere events out here in Cali you have most likely met Jenilee. The cute bubbly Asian young lady keeping the party going. It wasn’t until recently she let me know her and her girls were part of a group called DeLovely. They are some local Cali unsigned divas. So I guess in a tough economy the the good people at AMC Theaters are thinking outside the box. Sometimes you gotta try things used in other industries, and in this case AMC borrowed from Baseball. How many times have you ran into the the movies with no time to hit up the concessions. or you decided to hit a movie solo and didn’t want to get up and loose your seat just to get some treats. Well to battle that AMC (at least the one around my way), has created a portable vendor station that comes into the theater right before the previews. They allow you to buy majority of the same stuff you buy at the concession stand right in the theater…. I think it’s brilliant what’s your thoughts?
