I was recently put on to a dope diner in Beverly Hills. If you like a good Milkshake and hot dog you need to try out Marty D’s. This spot has an ol’ school feel to it and amazing food. The onion rings and sweet potato fries combo had me drooling. If your looking for a dope place in Beverly hills to have a meeting that’s not crawling with suits this is your place.

The other day I went to the Improve to check out my girl Ali Wong. As my and the crew were waiting for her to go on I was introduced to another comedian, Ralphie May. He is one of those hilarious equal opportunity racially improper funny people. Making fun of everyone including fat people, a group he is a member of. Homeboy seems like a fat country white boy who grew up in an all black neighborhood. He had me peeing in my pants. I suggest if you get a chance you check him out.

If your into Advertising and Marketing you have to see this movie Art & Copy. It breaks down some of the legends and creative executives of the advertising industry. It was also amazing to hear them discuss what was running through their heads when they came up with some of the greatest commercials and brand messages ever such as “Got Milk”, “Where’s the Beef” “Just Do It” and ”I want my MTV”. You also get a insider view of what was thinking behind the launch of Macintosh in 1984. As a creative marketer I watching this inspired me. I highly encourage any creative thinker to watch this.

About a month or two ago my homie Mitch invited me to come to a screening of a documentary he thought I would like. The movie was the September Issue. It’s an insiders view into Anna Wintour and Vogue. It gives the reader a VIP pass into the world of fashion as Vogue puts together its biggest production of the year the September Issue. The doc is insightful and comedic in the same breath. Not only does it explain what happens behind Vogues closed doors it also gives you examples of how Anna Wintour got her reputation. I highly recommend any one in or aspiring to be n the Fashion Industry to watch this film.

Before I say this I want to make it clear I think what Kanye did last night was in poor taste and there is no excuse for it. However he interrupted some one during their VMA acceptance speech.
And I see a million people commenting on how horrible it was. Yet a couple days earlier our President was giving an address in which he was trying to fix health care for us and our families and was rudely interrupted and called a liar on live International TV..
and I didn’t see 1/3 of the comments bashing the man (Congressman Joe Wilson) who was responsible for this outburst. Priorities people what’s more important the VMA’s or Health Care????
